What is 1D-LSD?
1D-LSD ((1,2-dimethylcyclobutane-1-carbonyl)-lysergic acid diethylamide hemi-L-tartrate) is introduced.
1D-LSD is an LSD prodrug and 1V-LSD analogue that is a lysergamide derivative with an ergoline backbone. Given that it is an LSD prodrug, it is anticipated to share many psychedelic properties with LSD-25 as well as other LSD prodrugs like 1cP-LSD and 1P-LSD, as well as a similar mechanism of action. A prodrug is simply an inert molecule that becomes active after consumption as a result of chemical events known as metabolisation.

- Shorter Duration – Reports show that 1D-LSD has a shorter duration even than 1V-LSD, which already had a short duration of around 6-8 hours when compared to the longer durations of 1cP-LSD and LSD-25 that run closer to 10-12 hours.
- Potency – The potency of 1D-LSD appears comparable to 1V-LSD.
Why the faster onset?
The quick onset is thought to be due to the highly strained 1,2-dimethylcyclobutane group, which allows for faster metabolism and hydrolysis to LSD in vivo.
