4-HO-MET 

4-HO-MET, also known as methylcybin, metocin, or “schleeb,” is a psychedelic that is not widely used. 4-HO-MET has a similar chemical structure to psilocin, the active ingredient in psilocybin mushrooms, also known as “magic mushrooms.” Alexander Shulgin synthesized 4-HO-MET for the first time in 1997.

4-HO-MET stands for 4-hydroxy-N-ethyl-methyltryptamine.

4-HO-MET, like other psychedelics in this class, is thought to have some serotonergic activity as a partial agonist. However, because of the similarities between 4-HO-MET and other substituted tryptamines, this is mostly conjecture.

4-HO-EPT

4-HO-EPT is another name for 4-hydroxy-N-ethyl-N-propyltryptamine. Because it’s a relatively uncommon compound, there are no nicknames for it.

It has many structural similarities to psilocybin, the active ingredient in psychedelic mushrooms, as do other substituted tryptamines. Psilocybin’s chemical name is actually 4-HO-DMT, and it has a much more similar structure to these research chemicals than most people realize.

Nonetheless, don’t expect the same thing. Researchers report many similarities, but it is the differences that set these chemicals apart. With 4-HO-EPT, you can expect a shorter research time.

4-ACO-MIPT

4-AcO-MiPT, or 4-Acetoxy-MiPT, is a psychedelic tryptamine also known as mipracetin. There isn’t a lot of pharmacological data available because the compound is new and understudied.

However, most 4-AcO compounds, and tryptamines in general, are generally safe unless used excessively or cause obvious side effects such as a heavy body load.

DPT HCL

DPT, or dipropyltryptamine, is a lesser-known psychedelic compound. It has been known for many decades, but its popularity has not yet reached the levels of its more approachable cousin, DMT.

DPT, or dipropyltryptamine, is referred to as “The Light” by a religious group known as The Temple of the True Inner Light, who regard the substance — synthetic or not — as a divine sacrament.

DPT research has some similarities to DMT research, particularly in terms of its short duration. Some may argue that aspiring researchers will arrive at the same conclusion in their research, but each compound takes a completely different path to get there. DPT is said to be much heavier and requires researchers to be aware of their physical bodies.

4-HO-DPT

4-HO-DPT is a lesser-known analog of DPT, which is also a relatively unknown substance. Because both of these chemicals have a tryptamine base, it is thought that 4-HO-DPT, like other molecules in this class, exerts much of its influence through 5-HT2a receptor stimulation.

4-HO-DPT is not the same as DPT, but it is very similar. It’s the 4-hydroxyl analog of the DPT base. This chemical change can cause a variety of effects, including changes in the potency and duration of research required.

4-ACO-DET

4-AcO-DET, also known as ethacetin (chemical name 4-acetoxy-N,N-diethyltryptamine), is a relatively unknown psychedelic in this family of chemicals. Unlike most of the other chemicals on this list, which were discovered by Shulgin, 4-AcO-DET was discovered by Albert Hofmann in 1958, several years after he discovered LSD.

Although researchers have not confirmed this, 4-AcO-DET is thought to be hydrolyzed into free phenolic 4-HO-DET. Nonetheless, expect the experience to be very similar to that of 4-HO-DET.
